About ServSafe Manager
ServSafe Manager is the food safety certification program developed by the National Restaurant Association. It’s widely recognized by health departments and employers. The one-day class prepares managers and team leads to run a safe kitchen, covering:
- Preventing foodborne illness and cross-contamination
- Time and temperature control
- Personal hygiene and employee health
- Receiving, storage, and food preparation
- Cleaning, sanitizing, and pest prevention
- Food allergens
- Building a food safety management system (HACCP)
The class ends with the proctored ServSafe Manager exam. Certification is valid for five years.
Who Should Attend
The course is designed for kitchen managers, chefs, owners, and shift leads. It fits restaurants, schools, healthcare facilities, caterers, and any operation where someone needs to hold a food safety manager credential. It’s also a practical refresher for experienced staff whose certification is coming up for renewal.
