About Executive Order 32

Governor Kathy Hochul’s Executive Order No. 32 establishes phased purchasing goals for New York State agencies to source more food from within the state, aiming for 30% of all food purchases to be New York-grown or processed by 2027. The order is designed to strengthen local agriculture, enhance supply chain resilience, and promote a more equitable food system. Agencies must report annually on their progress.
