Job Description: A Meat Cutters is responsible for labeling, verification of proper product and packaging of items to be stocked. Meat Cutters will also be expected to rotate and retrieve product.
• Basic knife skills.
• Operating knowledge of; power band saws, cubing machine, meat slicers, packaging machines, patty machine, tenderizer, banding machine, portion scales, sausage stuffer, grinders, power pallet jacks, and label printers.
• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of all cuts of meat from all species.
• Performs cutting tests as a proof of skill level and ability.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years experience in meat cutting.
• Must be able to read and write English, and perform basic math skills.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment and be able to lift 100 lbs.
• Highly motivated with a sense of urgency and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment at all times with all levels of employees.
• Ability to weigh, price, label, organize and rotate product.
• Can work individually or as part of a team.
• Committed to high standards of sanitation and hygiene
Hours may vary from 7-7:30am – 3:30-4pm.
